throughout my career that my path was kind of created
by happenstance in some ways because I took advantage
of opportunities because I had a passion for it. As long
as you have kindness and are working with opposing
counsel and your own colleagues that will take you far.
You’ll be amazed 20-some-odd years after you’re practicing just how many people you will run into that you
appeared against, or for me, they appear in front of me
all the time and then we’ll chat in chambers and it’s wonderful to catch up. I
was given the same advice, that my reputation is going to stay with me as early
